This is made of bronze or brass and is 12" long. It appears vintage and has a pendant with an eagle and 13 stars. What is it...help?

Looks like a fire stoker, for moving coals?

Hunter-I thought the same thing but for a small fire, lol. Could it possibly be a lid lifter for like a dutch oven over an open fire?

Thanks...for your suggestions. The hooks or prongs are very sharp and it is the pendant is so ornate with the eagle and 13 stars. In fact the eagle looks like it has gold leaf. I just don't know... Thanks Hunter and Bonnie.

A few thoughts, in first image eagle is face down, not likely used in this position.
It has a ring on top so it can be hung up.
Could it be used to hang on the wall & then something is hung from the two hooks?

maybe it's just for a small indoor wood stove/oven?
