This old clock has also been passed down in our family. It has three parts. The clock itself and two candle candelabres Socles are made of a beautiful stone with metal legs. The wind up clock movement works perfectly. One of the candle candelabre has a separated candle holder. It suddenly came apart (made of heavy brass) and you can see where a black string is holding it together. I do not know what to do to fix this separation between the two pieces of brass. The statue is beautiful but I do not know who she represents if anyone at all.

I look forward to your expert advice on this as I do not know it's age, type of stone used or who made it. I would sure love to know.
Thank you for looking and for responding. I am amazed at some of the things I am finding out, especially with the medals.

Note added: As always, my trusted friend and expert wrote to me from Germany to provide me with more details on this beautiful clock. Here is what Mr. Bauer wrote:

    "hallo,
This beautiful clock is a French Pendule / Mantel Clock / Figurenuhr. The movement works for about a week. It is always signaled the half hour and full hour with a fine bell. (perhaps a quarter of an hour?).

The dial is enamel. Please carefully, it can quickly be cracked! The case is a red marble.
There is a whole part of marble. It is finely ground and polished. The feet, the bezel and the figure is bronze. Everything is fire-gilded. It is a very nice patina (please do not clean your !!!). The statue is an allegorical figure in Greco-Roman style. It is the goddess of music. She has a lyre in his hand. Is it on the base of the statue a name?

The clock was made about 1870 ... 1890th. The manufacturer name is not read. Please look in the back on the clock board. There maybe a name is read. All parts of the candelabra are made of bronze. They are fire-gilded. Here too, a red marble is found. He is one whole piece of ground and polished.

A very very nice ensemble! Everything is complete and the condition is excellent. There is even still the original key! Congratulations!"

So far I have had four people tell me NOT to clean the patina. I thank you all for this and yes, I got the message loud and clear...leave it alone LOL!!!

Right at the base of the brass statue (facing the back of the statue) there is in large letters engraved into the brass: "ROUSSEAU". Thee is an access door to the movement but there is nothing inscribed that I can see. The whole thing is super heavy.

Here you go, now its not exact as yours but a good comparable. Made by Rousseau, French circa 1920. Dave

Maker of the Statue is Rousseau, not clock. Same time period. Sorry, Dave

That face looks old, I think it's made of stamped porcelain. This clock is definatly from the 1800's, not 1920's. If this was a clock from the 1920's it would have a completely differant design.

Dizzydave, I realize your comment was made 7 years ago and the link you provided takes me to something other then clock. Is it possible to repost a link to a comparable set ? Thank you.
