    I'm not really sure if this is a silent butler or not. It's brass and has Made in India on the bottom. Can anyone help me identify this item?

      I don't know that term but this maybe the same thing a bed warmer, it has that look to me but I'm just learning.

      Bed warmers are generally wider, shallower and more rounded with long handles. How long is the handle?

      The versions I have seen before are used to smoke out esfand (a certain seed) to ward off evil eye. I attached the following. The article doesn't include a picture of what you have, but that's what it's typically used... Basically the seeds are put in the container, over stove top to heat and the smoke is supposed to ward off evil eye...
