This is an Ace Bandages mannequin store display. He looks like he's from the 30/40's but I'm not sure about that.
I would like any info or photos of how it was set up in a store. No indication of any type of mounting on the bottom.
Mani, I was thinking, your restoration would have been easier if you made one of these out of your girl, you could have just taped her together,lol.

Az he is great ! He was on a stand . If you look you should see holes on bottom of feet . Rods went up the holes to help him stand on base . He is quite hansome and I think he has a few girls drooling over him from my girls . I would dress him and cover bandages and just look at his face . He is is in remarkable condition for being from the early 40's . I love him .Thanks for posting him and I will lure him out of house with my nude girls that I have posted in past LOL Great piece of history .
He should be 30 inches that is how tall they were maybe 29 1/2" :-)
@ Mani, I think you should dress your current project in a nurses uniform, this guy really looks like he needs someone to change his bandages!
I'd put him in a Captain America costume. Just look at that jaw!
I am sending all my girls to get him . They think he is handsome and will put clothes on him to cover all the injuries :-) If they have to dress as nurses bro it is scrubs we don't wear uniforms anymore :- ))

Well I just happen to have a old one I wore lol but we are different sizes I am a foot taller than her :-)
Oh well, the "Ace Man", would most likely love what she has on now,as it doesn't leave much to the imagination. Besides with all his injuries, he may not have that nurse fantasy anymore. :-))

If I don't find a photo of an original store display, I think I'll just weld up some rods on a steel plate to hold him.

He does have hollow legs and holes in feet correct ? Don't drill anything into him . I use dowels of wood and drill holes in a base size of dowel . Epoxy glue them in but make sure the dowels line up with his stance . He just come off stand by lifting him up . Use a large enough and heavy base to support him . I will try and find a photo of his base ok
Yes he does have hollow legs and open bottom feet. I thought about a wood base, I do a lot of woodworking, but was afraid it wouldn't be heavy enough. I could make the base larger but that would just take up valuable shelf space,lol.
If you can find a photo of an original base, That would be Awesome!
