I received my Miss Peep,Lisa, for my 1st Christmas from my Gramma in 1965.She has went every where with me.My mom even snuck her into my suitcase for my honeymoon.Once in Florida on a family vacation my dad had to go out to the car where I'd been told to leave "Lisa" and bring her inside because the waitress thought I was crying over a child being left in the car. We also back tracked about 75 miles once because I'd forgotten Lisa in a restroom! My "Lisa" is all my childhood memories wrapped up in one bundle.
I'd like to know if she is a Miss Peep. The only place I've been able to find any like her is on Ebay. One was listed as 19 inch Miss Peep the other as 18 inch Cameo.I know she's 19 inches, vinyl ,squeeks and is a Cameo.I'd like to know her year of "birth" and her factory name.Could someone please help ?

She is a Cameo Kewpie, 60s vintage from the Cameo Doll Company.Note the hair and blue wings on back.
Miss Peep was also made by Cameo but is a different doll. Miss Peep was a baby doll sold in the late fifties and through the sixties. She is all vinyl with inset plastic eyes. A black version was made as well as the more common white doll. Most versions have unusual joints at the hip and shoulder that allow the arms and legs to rotate completely as well as move back and forth. A version with regular flange joints was also made. The design for Miss Peep was evidently licensed to another company after Cameo closed, as she was advertised under the name Baby Wendy at least as late as 1973.

      Hope this helps,Lisa
