Telechron Model 700, The Electrolarm Electric alarm clock was manufactured between 1927 and 1931. These clocks were made by the Warren Telechron Company in Ashland, Massachusetts. The company was founded by Henry Warren in 1912 and produced clocks powered by his ingenious electromagnetically-driven rotors. The company hired some of the best industrial designers of the period, including Walter Dorwin Teague Sr, Leo Ivan Bruce, John P. Rainbault and Paul T. Frankl (however Frankl did not design the 700).

The Model 700 "Electrolarm" is one of the most iconic designs produced by Telechron and is a wonderful example of American Art Deco produced during the height of that period of design history. The Model 700 "Electrolarm" was a popular model, and was produced in Walnut (brown), ivory (white) and Jade (green) cases. According to official Telechron sales documents, 27,013 brown Model 700 clocks were sold, while only 4012 white and green clocks combined were produced and sold by Telechron. I guess they determined that not to many people would use the green in their home decorating scheme so it is the rarest.

It is in good shape for it's age. It does need a new rotor(a wee bit noisy when running) and cord. It was missing the light holder but I replaced it with one from a walnut parts clock.

This completes my set of all three.
