Grover Alexander and Gabby Hartnett but most of all Rogers Hornsby were just a few Cub Gods of the 20's.... can't for get SWITCH HITTER JOHN CORRIDEN; which I'm jealous of the picture.

Do you know where Grover Alexander was traded to in 1926 season??
  4. MJTuc MJTuc, 4 years ago
To St. Louis and helped them win their First World Series over the Yankees.. As much as fans and a city love their stadium, the reality is it's very hard to get or keep an All Star Outfielder.. New Stadium or just remove the stupid bricks and put up padding.. Tradition and holding onto the past is keeping them from winning..

I don't know Grover Alexander was traded to in 1926 seanson but im sure I can look it up and find out!!!

Ilove the knowledge you have on the baseball and I want to learn more as well!! a longtime I had a lot of baseball knowledge and then I basically had lost all of because I had started collecting other things and this and that etc!!!! but yes I would love to relearn all over again:)

Thankyou MJtuc and Manikin for the loves!!!

Grover was traded in the middle of 26, because St. Louis got rid of Great Player but trouble maker Hornsby. Traded to the Giants and Cards won the series and I don't think Hornsby was the same because when the cubs got him he was done.. Nevertheless some feel that there was some corruption in the Cubs upper mgmet because they would trade a player Grover who was a major factor for the Cards and picked up Hornsby from Giants where he played average.. I don't know but Losing is a desease, very crippling but curable.. Sorry for the long comment.. But I do know a lot about Cardinal and Cub history.
Those pictures are Priceless, Thank you for sharing them.
