Every Czech intaglio design is of highest quality. Most depict females with the exception of males with females. But here we have soccer players all male. Highly unusual and rare. Soccer being very popular in Europe more so than the U.S.A. during the 20's and 30's.

Hi smiata! Did these Salt Cellars always come with a handled Holder to store them? I found some recently that were housed in a chased Art Deco Brass holder and I wondered if they were sold that way. These Cellars are quite different since the ones I have seen, had classical themes. I find these very interesting! RER(BOB)
I wish they had LOUMANAL...but sadly just as you see them. Your set sounds delicious. Yes, these are definitely unique. I have never seen them as any sport and the fact that they are men is very unusual also. Thanks for the interest and the kind words.
