Efesgirl - I just found one in an antique store website: An Italian bon bon or pastry server, silver-plate [doubtful]. Thanks for help.
Are you sure your piece is the same size? The serving size would only be about 3.5" - a really small cake, maybe a cookie? But then only one. It definitely appears to be for serving with the round fin...
