Launched in 1995, Mandolin Cafe brings together anyone with an interest in mandolins—from players and teachers to collectors and enthusiasts. The site features mandolin chord diagrams (yes, for lefties, too!), virtual lessons, and a calendar of upcoming mandolin-related events. For those more interested in the mandolin’s place in history, Mandolin Cafe has a great archive of beautiful mandolin postcards from the early 20th century. And because the site caters specifically (but not exclusively) to players, it also includes an index of more than 800 modern mandolin builders, including many small and obscure makers in the U.S. and elsewhere.
