Texans Incorporated: The History of a Lamp Company
Mark Stevens has created an impressive living memorial to Texans Inc., a 20th century Texas manufacturer of ceramic lamps including TV lamps. Originally intended as a book focusing on lamp designer Howard Kron, who worked for Texans, the material instead turned into this beautiful, comprehensive site. Check out the many great sections including the company history, vintage ads, catalog pages, trade show photos, the table lamp and TV lamp galleries, employee roster snapshots, newspaper articles, and much more. What a rare in-depth look at the stories and people behind a now-defunct manufacturer!
