Steve Birks' super deep site is a tribute to a bygone era, chronicling how a pottery center of excellence (they didn't call it that at the time) developed over the centuries in the six English towns of Stoke-on-Trent (in Staffordshire): Tunstall, Burslem, Hanley, Stoke, Fenton and Longton.
