Happened to stop by a yard sale and spoke with the gentleman about the item. He said it had been in his family for quite a few years. It was just left in a relatives home after they had passed away. Nothing had been willed to anyone and no one really liked it, so he took it. He had it for some time and just didn't have any more room in his house. He has a lot of old trunks, end-tables, chairs, tools and things that he was gettin rid of. After having brought home this piece, he started collecting vintage and antiques. He has yard sales every now and then to get rid of some things when he comes across new things. I thot it was a neat piece of history. I've never been a sewer, but my mother always has and thought it might be a nice piece to add to her collection of antiques. She has an old cabinet style singer machine that she sewed on from the time I was born and that's been a while ago. I know its an antique now. I'd just like to know what type of an antique or piece of history that I came across and if I made a good choice or investment.

The Tetradrachm coin, on the other hand, has been in my family for many years. Its my mothers coin and was passed down to her over the years. I'm not sure of the complete story behind it, but its a really neat looking coin. I found out, that is from the 5th century. At least that's as far back as I can find them. Not sure about complete history line. When I get on the web, it gives ma a lot of places to go and bid on them and not much about the history of them. It looks Greek or like something from around there. Possibly native american. I don't know for sure. Maybe yous guys can give me a lil more info.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read this and hopefully I will hear back from u soon.

I bought one today at a yard sale as well. Mine is extremely similar but mine has a cabinet that the machine drops behind. The patent is for 1911 though

I own #2, meaning the second White cabinet model made dated 1902. It's in great condition and has all the feet and owners manuel.

I have one of these machines as well, and am looking for an approximate value. Times are tough, and I am sadly getting rid of it.
