My mother lived with an uncle who owned this lamp for many years. She always told us about her necking lamp - when her boyfriend came over, they would sit next to this lamp.......
We don't know anything about it's origin, and have not been able to find it in any books. My mother was born around 1910, and it was in her uncle's house from her earliest memory. The statue of the woman in the center is removable. We wonder if it was originally a lamp or electrified later.

Hollywood regency style began in the 30's and made its reappearance in the 50's and 70's and is making a comeback once again. I've seen lamps on ebay referred to as such (newer pieces) and this really fits the look. You have a really fantastic lamp with some great history attached to it!
