    Can anybody tell me anything about this item. I got this from a 100 year old estate here in upstate NY.
    Is it something commercially sold before or this is just a project of some sort done by someone.

      Back in the 70's a friend of my Dad used to make these with cars on them.

      I also have something similar to this and it to holds 4 boxes of matches...I will try and get some pics of mine tomorrow and post them. It makes me think that perhaps these were commercial and not a folkart type thing. I'm interested in knowing myself... Mine is done out of marble and has glass grapes on top, like I said I will try and post pics asap..
