I recently acquired several old mailing tubes from the New York Telephone Company. Inside each one is a glossy Museum of Modern Art MOMA art poster depicting NY Tel’s phone book cover published in that particular year. This one is of Maurice Prendergast’s impressionist painting, “CENTRAL PARK IN 1903.” It was New York Telephone’s directory cover in 1970 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
I think they're quite interesting. Nice pieces of telephone ephemera.
