I received this from a women in her 90's who passed away a year ago. i have no idea where it came from or any story behind it. it may just very well be something that was givne to her or maybe an old treasure of some sort. it looks oriental to me. it does look hand made also. Maybe someone can tell that it might be something by the design. there are no markings on it, even on the bottom. ? cute box or treasure? it is small, maybe 2" tall, 3 or 4 wide, and 2 or 3" deep.

I have a feeling that the box is not really that old (as stated in the auction 1900). This type of box was mass produced in the 1970s -90s and sold in "head shops" and import shops.
