This is my new favorite cool thing. An item that other fishing stories have trouble measuring up to.
I was recently inspired (per wife's glare) to sell a bunch of stuff at a yard sale. I didn't know my wife had included my vintage (inherited) tackle box in the items to be sold. Luckily, my uncle overheard a failed negotiation for the tackle box and pulled it aside. To be honest, I did not know what was in it and I would never have known what I almost lost. He pulled out several vintage and antique lures, a Mitchell 300 reel, and this ruler.
So basically, I found a treasure (don't know if it is actually worth much) that I never knew I had, and the guy who wouldn't pay $20.00 for the tackle box (with all the tackle) has a new "the one that got away" story.
If anyone knows more about this, I would love to hear about it.
