I am trying to restore this old family lamp and need to know what it may have looked like originally. There are no markings anywhere as to the manufacturer, I believe it was originally black and I know my mom had my dad paint it brass in late '50's. It is either pot metal or maybe aluminum, cast either way; base is heavy cast and is either polished under the paint or chromed? as is the base riser. It has a standard pipe as the pole and is about 5 1/2 ft tall. The decoration on the shade is some kind of leaf (fern, palm???) I'm looking for pictures especially or info on how to find out more!!! Thanks for any help...
