This is an old Morgan silver dollar which I think my grandfather picked up years ago. The CC beneath the eagle on the back indicates that it was made at the Carson City mint. Its neat that its so old, and actually made of silver, unlike today's coins.

smwhrNtyme:Your 1889 CC Morgan looks to be nice condition,there was 350,000 minted that year.To get a idea what the value is on your coin check it out on eBay-make sure your are comparing the same year,mint and condition.
