I have a leather top desk and chair which was owned by William B. Uihlein There is a metal plaque inside the top middle drawer with his name and a date of 1936. I came across this desk several years ago at an auction that me and only one other person showed up to. The freight co said these crates had been in their storage facility for about 15-20 years and so they wanted them gone. So I purchased 2 and this other guy purchased 2 ( we did not know what was in them until we paid for them) I am looking for information about this desk. What I do know is that the Uihlein's owned the Schlitz Brewery Co and that William B. Uihlein retired as Chairman of the Board in 1936. Also the desk is stamped "Quigley" from the Quigley furniture co which I believe is a samuel A. Marx Piece. Does this desk hold any value? What can you tell me about this item?
