First picture: Three 1st Communion rosaries.
The one on the left is a rhinestone rosary that belongs to one of my daughters. My grandmother bought it new for her in 1991.
The one in the middle was purchased at a garage sale, in that little wicker "thingy", and was carried by my son on his First Communion. No idea what the beads are made of, but they are iridescent, and very pretty.
The last one, on the right, was/is my First Communion rosary, standard army issue (lol) in Ft. Gulick, CZ. It's plastic, and all us girls got the same one. I'm not sure if the boys' rosaries were different or the same. I remember it all came in a little cardboard box: white purse, gloves, mass book and rosary.
hmmm now where did I put that thing??? I know I have the gloves somewhere, but the rest is a mystery where it went.
Second pic shows three plastic rosaries. These are typically purchased as souvenirs of a certain holy place or event. The two darker ones were allegedly blessed by Pope John Paul II
Third pic shows a brown (right) 'official' rosary from a nun, and a pink quartz (?) bead rosary. Both from thrifting.
