These are part of my huge collection of vintage school books- these are health books. They are mostly from the 40s and 50s, and have the cutest illustrations & lessons. It's interesting to see the emphasis on hygiene and safety and nutrition- probably the same as today, except that the guidelines are so different! Notice the little boy on the scale with the ice cream cone in his hand!
Most of my books were published by Lyons & Carnahan. I have 5 out of the 7 in the series (grades K through 6th)
