Just a few of questions, is the right end hollow, is the metal Brass or Steel or something else?
If the right end is hollow, could a wooden shaft be inserted?
Just what part of Europe was your Dad stationed ? They have a Northern European look, possibly Scandinavian.
From here they look like antique fishing spears. Just a guess.
