Here is my newest peg wooden who is, as yet unnamed and undressed. She didn't cost a lot; I purchased her from one of the auction sites. She joins my first peg wooden Jane, who was named for one of the dolls in Beatrix Potter's Tale of Two Bad Mice.
The second doll (3rd picture) is a a repro Tuck Comb doll by James Orem. James is no longer making dolls and I was very pleased to get one of his lovely dolls. Too bad I have not made an equally lovely dress for her yet!

Dollmaker you could make a Gypsy fortune teller out of one :-) They are hard to sew for I have had a few and their bodies only like empire waist dress's I learned that . Good luck and hope to see them posted all dressed soon :-)

I dressed mine and a friend's doll earlier. I posted those about a week ago, I think. I sewed their dresses by hand and was pretty pleased with the results. The dolls look so bad without clothes, that just about any clothes are better than none!!

I have deal with these doll, most of the originals are dress as peddlers from the victorian era, they are dress in black with a cape and a basket or a tray carrying their goods for sale.
