Very good condition 1889 US sivler dollar, minor patina, no edge wear. From my grandmother, who was born in 1886.

jonhartz: Just for silver content it is worth around $20,appears to be nice shape.Check on ebay for ones in simular condition and see what they are selling for.Last price I seen on silver was $30.17 and was expected to increase by 35 to 50% by end of the year.Nice coin to keep.
jonhartz: forgot to ask you about mint mark.It can be located on the oppsite side under the Eagle.Will be needed to locate the price on any site or book.Have fun checking it out.
