Attractive set, but this does not appear to be ivory. it is too white and slightly translucent. The cross pattern grain typical of ivory does not seem to be present on the block ends.
i must say that after looking throughit i do agree but why the sticker and what material is it?? in its case it is unusually heavy. and the jade backing??
Get many opinions, that would be my advice as some have not seen vary rare cases of bone / bamboo or ivory and there are pieces made of such, but you will need to do some testing, etc. plastic was not made in the 30s rather bakelite which definitely has its own characteristics. Good Luck.
