A book by Octave Uzanne about female fashion, the women of Paris.[12] Les Modes de Paris, translated as Fashions in Paris, was according to the review in the New York Times "[...]the most complete and exhaustive work on the subject of French fashions that has yet appeared". There seems to be a connection to Exposition Universelle of 1867
