My favorite vintage bowl

This bowl came into our family in the 50's, no one remembers how. The bowl is very large measuring over 14" and sits about 4 1/5" high. There appears to be gold leafing in the center spreading to the edges. The gold is so vibrant! I have never been able to find out much about this bowl. Perhaps someone can tell me more.
