I just would like to please get info as to year, what she is made of , her head,arms/hands the rest of her body is stuffed with ?
I do not know alot, it was my moms, she passed away 21 yrs ago.

Look inside her dress for a tag on it by maybe Madame Alexander . They always tagged clothes . Also look on back of her neck for any markings ok and let me know what you find :-) Thanks for sharing her . Lovely doll !
Thanks for your reply....I looked behind her neck and all around it, and on dress I see nothing. She has like white bloomer, a couple of slips then the dress and hat. Not even sure what her face, arms/hands are made of? I do not know where else to look to find some other dolls like her to get info.
She is made of composition . These dolls were called Mama dolls(because they usually had a box in stomach you might feel one in her that made a crying sound when tipped ) . She would date about 1930-to 40. Sometimes because they are not marked we never know who made them . I am sure she is USA made doll and there were many many companies that made these kind of dolls . She appears to be in very good condition aside from chip missing above eye . How tall is she
How does one know which is the best way(or to whom) to sell a doll, knowing she will get any repairs she may need and be lovinly taken care of?
Sorry I did not see your question on how tall she is, she is 21" if I am measuring right. She was my mothers and I have had her for 21 yrs since I lost my mom. Thank you for taking the time and giving me information.
