These two little cuties were purchased at Lyndoch, South Australia by my mum about 30 years ago.
The phone number on the brochure that came with them (illustrated) is no longer functioning for the business (Carter-Wood Dolls) and the lady who answered the phone does not know of them, although mine was not the only call she had received over the last 15 years or so. The SA tourism site still carries the ad for the business, and the claim that all dolls are made on site.
There are 8 dolls illustrated on the brochure, in pairs as shown. The pair I have are beautifully made with cleverly jointed limbs, although they are not described as puppets.
Does anyone know anything about this business or the dolls?
