My husband found this recently and it is growing on me. I cleaned it off and the finish looks hand applied as you can see in the picture of the base, close up. There is a coil of brass wire wrapped around the mid section of the lamp, and the tassels are made of the same brass wire. There is a big brass ball that sits on the splayed uprights which emulate iron (but I am not sure what they are made of). Overall, it looks like some work went into making this piece and I find it pleasing to the eye. What do you think of it and does anyone recognize it? I believe it to be mid century.

P.S. The first photo was taken pre-clean up. The 3rd one is the true color of the piece.
