Sand Majolica Vase Mystery

This is a recent yard sale find from Maine. I'm trying to find out more about it..it looks like a 70's design, but all references lead back to The Margaret Howland Collection from the Jones Glass and Ceramics Museum in Sebago Maine. It closed a few years back, and pieces were sold to the public. It is supposedly Victorian Sand Majolica. I find no information on who the maker is. It bears the number 38 on base along with the letter u or c.
