We found this at a local thrift shop (Atlanta area), spotting the wood back first and making a bee line right to it. This is in Two pieces, with a height of 5 foot 1 inch. The Desk is Pine with turned legs of a different wood. The legs are different in the front then in the back, meaning the thickness of the rings and how the leg is tapered. The slant desk part is broken and missing, the Glass is tacked then glazed and not smooth. There is a carved date of 1804, HOPE that be true but know it may not be. There are square head nails and some repairs to the drawers. Any Idea on true age or indicators that I can look for. (all items in that photo are finds over the years.
thanks
