My father found this chest in California about 25 plus years ago. It has been in our family ever since. It's approx 3'L x 2' W x 2' H. Its wooden with partial leather straps with rope handles. On the right side facing the opening is a partial sticker that reads "Wells Fargo Express".
I can't determine the actual age, however, I am interested in what anyone's insights. I have searched for other chests of this type and haven't found anything similar.
