my boy-friend and i stumbled across this book while we were helping my granny pack up and move. my granddad loved to collect and this book was found just tossed in with a random group of things, buried in the basement. (he loved the collecting part, not so much the organizing and storing part ;o)
its a beautiful like book, i believe the cover is suede and that it may be a first edition, printed in 1897 by the dodge publishing company. the collection of poems is awesome and is definitly one of the favorites in my collection. other then showing my lovely book off i was also wondering if it had any value. i would love to be able to surprise my granny with something nice...however i think it would have to be a fair amount before granny and i could part with it. lol
i would love to know if anyone has ever come across this book in their travels. i've only seen modern versions...it just seen appropriate that a book like this one should be clad in suede!!!
