Gorgeous vintage Steven Maslach volcano champagne/wine goblets… each are a work of art and highly sought after. Steven Maslach opened his art glass studio in 1971 and studied under Marvin Lipofsky and Sam Herman. Maslach’s work is in museums all around the world.
These glasses called ‘volcano’ are made by incorporating the ash from Mount St. Helen in the molten glass. The beautiful patterns and variations in color are caused by a chemical action.
They measure 9 1/8” exactly and feel very substantial in the hand - You know you are drinking from a work of art. The pieces signed on the bottoms "Maslach" "8/79". They are in excellent condition, having been received as a wedding gift and never used!
These glasses are simply beautiful!
