2 pairs of vintage 1950's children's adjustable steel roller skates with straps. Both were made by the "Globe Skate Corp~Menomonee Falls, WI USA".
One pair is "No 30". They have the metal harness in front for securing a shoe. The wheels on these spin well. The plaid backing for one of the straps is missing. When closed they measure approximately 8" (20.3 cm) in length & when extended all the way they measure 10" (25.4 cm) in length.
The other pair is "No 97~MARVEL". The wheels on these spin sluggishly. When closed they measure approximately 6" (15.2 cm) in length & 8" (20.3 cm) in length when extended all the way.

These bring back so many good memories I loved my skates and if I remember rightly my mother had to bribe me into taking them off to go to bed....:-)
is this corp still in business?, -thanks
I do not believe so. I cannot find any information on the company. The only skates I see for sale that were made by them are listed as vintage.
I've got a pair with the metal harness in front, too., -They SCREAM nostalgia!
