This is a program from the Twenty-Seventh Annual Banquet of the Zach Chandler Republican Club of Ingham County. The Zach Chandler Club was one of the largest political organizations in the state at that time. The Twenty-Seventh Annual Banquet was held in Lansing on Wednesday, October 29, 1924 at Prudden Auditorium (which was demo'd in the 1940s).
Chandler was a pretty neat guy! He was Mayor of Detroit, US Senator, Secretary of the Interior to President Grant, Chairman of the Michigan Republican Party, and one of the original founders of the Republican Party. A fairly prominent Michigan Republican of history, if you ask me...
I must say Zachariah Chandler is one of my favorite people in Michigan history!
