I found this little gentleman, who is approximately 10 in tall, at a local woman's club community yard sale in Washington DC area. He looks very old and reminds me of a matador. Some of the metal trim is missing on the leather side strip of one leg. Judging by the aged appearance, I think he is in very good condition.

I am interested in finding out more about the history of this type of figure.
He is a novelty doll and appears to made in Spain . These were quite common for people to buy as souvenirs on trips and were also imported to USA . They date from around 1950- 1960's
