I love this vintage photo!!! This is "Josephine" from the Philadelphia Zoological Garden. I like the elephants stance and expression. I love all things vintage so a nice photo gets me excited! Her tusks are crossing each other, her stare is almost blank, but still she is enchanting. I don't know any year or anything but this photo is still dear to me.

Josephine was a female African Forest Elephant born in the wild that was brought to the Philadelphia Zoological Gardens on 4/04/1925. She died there on 3/12/1943 - actual age unknown. I have seen that photo of her on postcards from the 1930's and 1940's
Thank you! She was a beautiful elephant and thank you for the idea of the year span :)
