This an early 19th century mahogany toilet mirror with original plate. The mirror sits atop three seperate hand doved tail drawers measuring 18 1/2 inches wide, 7 3/8 inches deep and 3 5/8 inches.
The mirror measuring 11 1/4 x 15 1/2 inches, has it's original plate.
Occasional refered to as dreesing-table glassor toilet mirror, this form of looking - glass, adjustable for angle between uprights rising from a plateau , came come unto favor toward the end of the 17th century.
