One of my great loves are the old telephone and telegraph insulators. I have a collection that gets a little larger with each passing year and I'm starting to run out of room to display them. This champagne colored one is my newest addition. I came by this beauty at my neighbors yard sale in November. I picked it up and he started asking me questions about it so I told him the little I know. He then wanted to know about how much he should put on it so I told him he could probably get about $15. I laid the insulator down and started to walk away when he said he wanted me to have it. I pleaded with him to let me give him at least $5 for it but he insisted. I think it is absolutely gorgeous! The way the sunlight hits it and makes it glisten like a wet gem is simply amazing. They are truely a work of art.
