An Irish two bladed ring carafe, circa. 1810. Plain apart from cut shoulder panels.
You may be asking yourself what makes this Irish. B. Edwards of Belfast continued making tapered and shouldered decanters with 2 bladed neck rings after they had gone out of fashion at other glass houses. The shoulder panels here firmly pushes the date post 1800, but the shape firmly says 18th century. This anomaly along with the 2 bladed rings says it's B. Edwards of Belfast. At least that is what the books are saying. It could all be BS for all I know.
