Brass Beaver Knife

Pretty old and worn. Unusual with brass insert in blade, which does not lock open. Brass beaver handle has small detail on it, but still pretty worn. The pin that swivels the blade looks like the beaver's eyes. Blade is two inches has been sharpened a lot, and is sharp. My stepfather left this after he passed. He spent a lot of time in Canada, but absolutely no markings on knife that I can see to identify it.
