I found this lovely and superb conditioned porcelain dog bowl at the boot sale this morning. I paid the princely sum of 50 british pence.
I have managed to do some research on the item but have not been able to completely confirm my findings. The sites I have looked at date it to around the turn of the century, I personally thought it was more 1940's. Spratts were the first commercial dog food manafacturers and one of their first employies was a MR CRUFTS who went on to form the CRUFTS dog show. If anyone has more knowledge of this item and could advise me as to the date and value I would be much appreciative.
