I am trying to learn anything about this locket I have. It is sterling with a very strange carving of cherub angels sitting by a campfire. It may be a mourning locket. It was my fathers and on one side is a picture and on the other is a clear cover and probably a rose leaf under the cover. I am trying to find out what country or place it might have been from or how to do more research on the item. Thanks, Sandy

Sandy, have you learned anything about this locket? I have one that is identical. The back of the locket is monogrammed with my greatgrandmother's initials. Inside are pictures of my greatgrandfather on one side, with a lock of hair tied with a string underneath it. On the other side is a picture of my greatgrandmother, holding my grandfather. A lock of hair has been loose inside the locket for as long as it's been in the family. Only recently did I discover the hair behind the picture. Might your father's family have been from Georgia? Would love to know if you've learned anything.
