    In great condition... quite delicate...... no damage or scratches.... i haven't a clue what its called but i think it may be a display stand for ceramics. Is it?
    Please help me discover this mystery... thk you

      Its the wooden 3 tiered stand in the trunk.... i would welcome comments on the picture too and the tripod stand

      I think you will find it id an antique.. 'Victorian wooden torchiere'..if you google you will find more to compare yours with...I think it's beautiful!...:-)

      The three tiered stand on the trunk is a cake plate/sandwich stand for serving c1930...:-)

      English Whatnot Stands...traditionally didn't fold, and were plaed in corners or against walls to display "whatnots" the one you have is a cake or as Phil says "muffins" when serving high tea, but! people born in different countries do call items by different names....:-)
