A fellow next doore ask me if I could clean up some scrap from his back yard which had an old metal shed bach there. I said sure I'll haul the shed and a little bit of stuff he had sitting around it to the scrap yard for him. When I got into the shed there was this old Vespa in the back of the shed. The fellow saod he bought it new and signed the title over to me. The manual and tool box is still under the seat. Only has 499 miles on it. I didn't hual this to the scrap yard.
Amazing what you might find in a shed! All those years just sitting there.
have one of those sitting in the back of my garage,still.bought it from the neighbor for fifty dollars,told him if he ran across one to get it for me,don't know how much he paid for it.
gas tank was so rusted I spent many hours trying to get the rust out and never succeded,broke a piston ring while trying to do something and motor cycle guy said I would have to have cylinder bored,new piston and rings,
Lost interst real quick,but later on did sand it down completely as meal was start to get little spots, painted it inside and out to protect it from rust and its still sitting there. has been garaged all the time.
