This is an old railroad switch lock that my husband found while working one day. Sadly, I don't have the key. Front still opens to reveal the keyhole. Not sure of the age.

That one is just like mine, but mine says "SRN".... which is Sabine River and Northern Railroad. We live about 25 minutes from the Sabine River.

i have one also but it says "SOO LINE RR
I too, have this same lock. Excellent condition (still shiny) with key. The key is brass. On the back of my lock, It is stamped with 3 letters "GTW" The key has these same 3 letters stamped on it. The other side of the key has "adlake" stamped into it.
Off the usual trails in Dallas I recently found a similar lock stamped MKT RR.
I should have noted that MKT denotes the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Rail Road.
